Like I said in the other thread- Chumpsky is not an original thinker here. This was covered in one of the SF Weeklies (and, I imagine- many other papers, etc), and it was someone else who 1st came up with the info, and “outed” Poindexter. I’ll bet a nickle that a Google search would turn up plenty of hits with the info.
Of course, the “right” way to post the info would have been to post a link to the article, and mention what was available, and then Chumpsky’s opinion of the info being outed.
jackmaannii i don’t think chumpsky is suggesting anyone murder pointdexter. the same can’t be said for the “wanted dead” nuremburg files website that lists the home addresses of the abortion doctors they want to be killed (but are too chicken to do it themselves).
Pointdexter says we should have no privacy. Chumpsky posts his home address to make a point. I see no hypocrisy in what chumpsky did, and in fact, I concur with his sentiments. Poindexter should be in prison, not making insane public policy to “thwart the terrorists” (which nowadays will justify damn near any bad policy).
Poindexter is no more likely to read (or give a rat’s ass) about critical mail coming to his home than he would about such mail coming to his office.
The publishing of his address encourages looneytunes to make threatening gestures either by mail or in person, which is the type of activity the more violent anti-abortion rights activists are encouraging against their foes.
And, of course . . . cite please? No privacy? I’ll send ya my credit card number if you can find a quote from Poindexter where he says citizens should have no privacy…
Where? I must have missed it. The OP consisted almost entirely of Poindexter’s home address. Show me where Chumpsky makes an actual, honest-to-Santa debatable point with his OP. I’ll send ya my AMEX number (and expiration date!) if you can pull that one off.
