Whatever you may have thought of the man, his **America, Why I Love Her** speaks of his patriotic manner and his love of his country. I have been listening to it these past few days. I am sorry to say that I needed to be reminded of all the wonderful opportunities the USA has provided for me. Thanks Quasi ---

I believe that he refused to join the army during WW2. The government was trying to get hollywood stars to signup, and many did. Later, during Vietnam, he complained about young americans not wanting to ‘due their duty.’ ---
