He occasionally writes articles or letters to the editor to the main Dallas newspaper, the Dallas Morning News, about problems in the city (or larger areas) and how they might be solved. These articles and letters are almost always well thought out and reasonably presented. I have to check the sig/byline to make sure it’s actually JWP. I don’t have any links, nor do I remember much about the ideas themselves, but I was rather pleasantly surprised. I believe that the last time, he had some thoughts about the county hospital, and how to improve it.
