Something I thought of earlier, but isn’t really a number, but is remotely related to your later riddle: one square, or square one. Normally that’d be written “one squared.” Not right? What about one, rooted? Still not right? Ah well, back to square one. ---

Jokes and riddles… Both generally attempt to lead the listener astray. The punch line of the joke usually lets the listener in on it by revealing the unexpected twist, while the riddle matches wits with the listener (or reader) to see if he/she will find the solution. ##### Example: Anyone know laws in other countries? If a North Korean experimental passenger plane crashes exactly on the border of the capital city and an outlying district, where do they bury the unidentified survivors? ---
