I answer the door whenever the bell rings , which isn’t all that often. Doesn’t necessarily mean I open it , but you can have the "Knock knock " exchange from the other side of the door. It probably makes a big difference where you live- if I had a mile long driveway, I probably wouldn’t answer. But although the police or fire department haven’t yet banged on my door to evacuate me there have been a few times where some utility has knocked to ask me to move my car (which is parked on the street) so they can do some work on the street ( cable,telephone, sewer) whatever. ---

I look thru the peephole, and with the “no soliciting” signs, we get very few knocks or rings anyway. More often neighbors, than Emergency services. ---

I don’t consider myself serious about music, and while I acknowledge that it is skillfully executed thought the bits I listened to were tedious and couldn’t imagine wanting to listen to 7 1/2 minutes of it. And I can’t see how, other than the title, it has anything at all to do with the folk song? I’m in my late fifties and learned “Billy Boy” in elementary school music class, along with “Jimmy Crack Corn” and, for some reason, “O, Canada.” The last would have made more sense if I grew up in the Great White North, but I’m from Western Pennsylvania. ---

Something like that happened to m when I was nine years old.. My favourite joke was Q - Where is the Garden of Eden? A - Behind Number Ten Downing Street. I was awfully put out when Sir Anthony Eden spoilt it by resigning in 1957. ---
