Jon Stewart returned to the Daily Show last night and gave quite possibly the best and most heartfelt monologue I have heard. I don’t want to ruin any of it, watchit for yourself… [http://www.tdsexperience.com/count.php?id=58](http://www.tdsexperience.com/count.php?id=58) ---

Thank you for sharing that. That was incredible. It’s amazing how real a celebrity becomes when he becomes one of us. That word “character” really describes who a person is. I think, no matter how many spitballs someone throws, they really do understand it all on the inside. ---

An Atlanta radio station replayed Stewart’s comments in their entirety on the radio this morning. I was fighting to keep my composure on the drive in to work. ---

I didn’t get any video, just audio. I figured it was an audio file, but hey, don’t want to miss anything… ---

I already had great respect for Jon Stewart’s intelligence and talent; now I have even greater respect for his character and insight. Everyone ought to hear that. As a heads-up, video and a transcript are available–at least, they’re there now–at [The Daily Show Website](http://www.comedycentral.com/tv_shows/ds/;jsessionid=VLIKSQ1Z5F02GCQAAAYCFEQ) Noticed on preview: without smilies disabled, that link embeds the Happy Orthodox Jewish smiley. And that made me smile.
