This makes me pretty sad. We’d communicated via PM a bit and had discussed maybe having a beer or something sometime when he was visiting his mother, who lives nearby. Never did happen. 2020 can kiss my ass. ---

I’m so sorry to hear this news. I remember Nate very fondly from Dope-A-Weens at his house when he lived up near Harper’s Ferry, and various other get-togethers. Since he is in hospice, I hope his passing is a gentle one, surrounded by loved ones. ---

Damn! Wish I had thought of that. I voted weeks ago, day 2 of early in-person and didn’t know about Nate yet. I am going to remember Dopers names for future write-ins though. You, **Czarcasm** , could end up as a Natural Resource District Commissioner in flyover Nebraska. Nate will be so pleased. Never fear, we have good cell coverage (no hills in the way as far as the eye can see) and you can have up to 4 chickens in your back yard. ---
