He lacked a certain…something…he gave off the same gay vibe as Vincent Price who was hamming it up in the movies at about the same time. Mr. Spock - now he had possibilities and could be - and was - seduced by a woman or two! But Barnabas? Maybe he’d bite your neck but if he dragged you off to the crypt, you’d be forced to listen to Shakespearean meanderings, maybe offered a glass of madeira, and that would be IT. ---

_Dark Shadows_ is currently available on Netflix streaming. I watched it 45 years ago with my Mother, but I don’t think I’d ever seen it since the beginning. ---

My mother would not allow us to watch Dark Shadows, so I think I’ve seen all of four episodes in my life, all at my across-the-street-neighbor’s house on rainy afternoons. I’m really deprived. ---
