My handle is not “Jonathan”, it’s “Skogcat”. If it was “Jonathan” then I’d be pissed off and ranting too. I would get the same things you do. I would get people (so many people!) who insist on spelling it “Jonathon”, I would also get “Jonothan” and “Johnahton”. The bizarre thing is that if my handle was “Jonathan” then my second name, as part of that handle, would be foreign (eg Norwegian). The second name, though simple enough, would be difficult for people to spell initially. Still they’d get that one _right_ (probably because they’d take the time to check the spelling) but continually fuck up the plain english first name. If my handle was “Jonathan Somethingforeignpossiblynorwegian” then even my fucking parents in law would have difficulty spelling “Jonathan”. What really fucks me is when someone spells it (or would spell it if it were my handle) “Johnahton” and then upon being corrected they ejaculate\* “wow, what a strange way to spell it!”. Well fuck you motherfucker, that’s how it’s spelt, the only reason you think it’s spelt any other way is because you are a dumb fuck who needs to go and read a book about a seagull. So just to be clear, I’m backing up Mr. Chance’s claim and I’m going to repeat the important part now, just for you (you know who you are - all of you). J-O-N-A-T-H-A-N \*I’ve been wanting to use that word in that context for a while now :). Hmmmm, reading the dictionary I see that my use of it isn’t _quite_ right. Fuck it, I’ll leave it there anyway, after all it’s not the spelling and grammar that counts eh? It’s the ideas hidden in amongst it all :D. ---
