Wasn’t Lady Pole more antagonistic towards Jonathan Strange in the book?

I really like this TV show. So understated and unfilled-out. It could take any direction and not stray from the main story because the main story is so very flexible.

Finished the miniseries (on Blu-ray, I don’t have BBC America) - a fantastic adaptation! The book is one of my favorites of all time and while I missed the footnotes, they really got the story well done! I even didn’t mind some of the differences from the book in the finale (I thought they were fairly minor differences). Great stuff!
