My first reaction is mean delight, then disappointment. This means nothing. It’s just an opportunity for him to be “saved”, loudly and publicly, followed by even more highly paid bullshit Family Values speaking opportunities. These people are shit bags who believe that evil is something you are, not something you do. Because Josh believes in Jeezus, he’s done nothing that can’t be spun into a positive. ---

First they take away his primary source for sex by praying away the incest, then his wife gets to be 6, 6 and a half months pregnant and that’s 5 months out of a year the reverse cowgirl gets difficult. A guy’s gotta do something! ---

The unspoken contract in those situations is that _you keep your house clean_ afterwards. When the faithful realize he was mired in more sexual sin the entire time he was protesting that he had grown and prayed and sought forgiveness, he’ll start losing them. Not all of them. Maybe not many. But feet of clay can get too heavy for even the Ardent to ignore. Unless he goes into the ministry, I suppose. ---

I wonder how this will affect the[child-abuse documentary](http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/breaking-silence-airdate-set-815273) set to air Aug 30 where, with the Duggar’s input supposedly, focuses on child abuse and recovery/treatment(s) thereof. From the link : “_We look forward to working with TLC on this upcoming special documentary and hope that it is an encouragement to many," said the Duggar family in a statement when the program first was announced._” Yeah - good luck, Duggars. Maybe you can truly and realistically show what NOT to do with those such as Josh. Doubtful, I am. ---

The “self-deluded?” If you did know anything about her, you would know that she was raised in the same patriarchal environment where the man is the head of the house and women are taught to be subservient and to stay at home having as many babies as possible. She married him when she was just 20 years old with zero life experience and no friends outside her family and church. Josh had to get permission from her father to begin “courting” her and they couldn’t even be alone without a chaperone before they married. So tell me again how she deluded herself? ---

I feel more sorry for the girls than the boys in that family. They’re raised to believe their only destiny is to be wife and mother, and they’re married off and popping out kids so early that’s there’s little chance they’ll discover they have so many more options. Anna seems like a sweet, somewhat simple girl and she’ll be paying more of a price for this than her husband will. ---
