Former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford is perhaps the most famous person to not hike the Appalachian Trail. As a result, “hiking the Appalachian Trail” or “hiking the Appalachians” became a euphemism in the English language. What’s come out of this or should we come up with something? “Just Joshing around” comes out easy enough but not enough bite, for me. Anyone? ---
