I haven’t seen any talk on this and haven’t seen any trailers, so I thought maybe a thread was in order, for anyone else who’s been living under a rock. Premiere is this Friday, February 13 on FOX. [Here](http://www.vancouversun.com/entertainment/Joss+Whedon+series+includes+romance+mystery+much+more/1248675/story.html) is some info about it. Anyone know how many episodes have been made and whether FOX is committed? I really don’t want to get into a new show only to see it cancelled after two or three eps. And Friday? Isn’t that a death slot? ---

Well, it’s a Whedon show aired on Fox, who demanded that the pilot be rewritten, and who’ve placed it into the Friday Night Deathslot. You do the math. I’ll still give it a shot, though. Doomed Whedon is still better than most of the dreck on TV, anyway. ---

I’ve set the Tivo to record all episodes of _Dollhouse_, but am resigned to the idea I’ll have to buy the dvd to get all of them, just like _Firefly_. ---

Thanks for the reminder. I read about this a while back, but my DVR won’t let me set anything new to record more than a week in advance. I don’t have my hopes up either, but I’ll watch it anyway. ---

Well, I’m kinda looking forward to some snappy Whedonesque dialogue after a lengthy dry spell. Hope it works out. I note that FOX appears to have decided to go after a presumptive dateless male nerd demographic, as they are running a lot of combo ads touting the respective badass superbabes of _Dollhouse]_ and _the Sarah Conner Chronicles_ in their back-to-back Friday slots. ---

The current _Rolling Stone_ has a two-page article on Whedon and this show, where he claims that this is the last TV show he’ll ever do and that he thinks that the current model for producing episodic video (TV networks controlling distribution) is irreparable broken. He claims his future is in web video: we’ll see… ---

It’s possible Whedon is taking one for the team, but when the team consists of Fox executives, I kind of doubt it. ---
