I’m thinking the crabs got a free raw bar for a few days and the rest blended in with the natural débris of the region. If there are feral dogs, things can go more quickly. ---

According to the cops, they found four or five skeletons under the B’walk right there while they were building the aquarium in the 1950s, and they are now testing them (I don’t know how!) to see if one might be the Judge. ---

Yesterday’s _New York Daily News_ tried to tie the Crater case into the 1941 Kid Twist death…Abe Reles was a Murder Inc. gunman who turned stoolie, and was pushed (OK, “fell”) out the 6th floor window of a Coney Island hotel just before he was to testify at the trials of Albert Anastasia and Louis Buchalter. The tabs dubbed him “The Canary Who Couldn’t Fly.” Hee hee. ---

Actually, defenestration brings up a whole new field for speculation: push \*any/I] magistrate, no matter his stature, out a high-enough window and I should think you’d end up with a pretty fair “Judge Crater.” By your leave, I’d like to send this thread off on a little tangent. What would _you_ like to confess on your deathbed? I think I’ll leave a note taking responsibility for: –Prompting OPEC Oil Embargo (1973); –Sinking the _Edmund Fitzgerald_ (1975); –Putting Hole in Ozone Layer (1985); –Causing German Reunification (1990); –Releasing Album “Oh Yeah” by KC & The Sunshine Band (1993); –Creating El Nino (1997-8); –Mauling Roy Horn onstage in Vegas (2003).
