# Judge rules against school mask mandates, Chicago Public Schools to ignore order?

As in other confined spaces, important measures for schools are

- physical distancing
- improved ventilation
- promotion of ‘stay-at-home’ when sick policies
- promotion of respiratory etiquette
- regular hand-washing
- **use of masks when feasible** (considerations may differ by age of the child).

It was not an error. A mandate for children 2 and older goes against the recommendations of WHO and the ECDC.

Notice the word “feasible”? The Illinois mandate is a blanket one.

This is what you wrote about the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control. You’re just wrong.

Your other statement about the WHO was also wrong.

This is the most ridiculous conversation I’ve had here in a while.

At this point, @D_Anconia and @RitterSport are just bickering. It seems that the underlying data, that masks recommendations are messy, and that children under 5 are different from those in school, have been covered. So please drop the bickering.
