In one of the popular video games (I think it is Madden) both Peppers and Arrington’s Jersey’s show no numbers and their stats are blank. I’ve heard that this is because they are not part of the NFL Player’s Association labor union. I’ve always thought the NFL was a closed shop - meaning a player has to be in the union, it is mandatory. Is this true and is this why they are in the video game this way?
Is this the 2004 version you are talking about?
In my Madden 2003, I don’t think Lavar was signed to a contract yet, thus not a member of the NFLPA.
Can’t remember about Peppers though.
And upon further review, LaVar was drafted in 2000, so I have no idea. :smack:
Arrington is in the NFLPA, but is in a legal dispute with the marketing arm of the NFLPA called Players Inc. Or at least was in a dispute.
