Okay passers-by, neighbors and idiots: itā€™s NOT AN APPLE TREE! Not crab apples, not regular apples, not any kind of apple. Theyā€™re shinseki pears and THEYā€™RE NOT FUCKING RIPE SO STOP PICKING THEM! Also, keep your fucking mitts out of the strawberry patch. This is all on private property; if you want to pick fruit, go to a fruit orchard and pay someone, or come over and volunteer to weed the goddamn berry patch. Yes, I put a sign out there saying pretty much that. ---

It might work using the principal that if it takes a bit of effort to do something, it will dissuade the honest person from doing it [which is why a simple hook on a screen door will keep most people out unless they are outright criminal.] Maybe a netting tunnel over the strawberries? ---

Yeah, but then I couldnā€™t bitch about it! We may do it for the strawberries next year. Anybody who has tended and picked strawberries knows how backbreaking the work is. Migrant workers avoid it if at all possible. The pears caught us off guard this year, as half the tree died and had to be cut off. The rest of the tree is covered with pears; more than in the previous three years combined. These are awesome when canned, by the way. ---

I hates flying. Actually, flying is OK, its the TSA that just ticks me off. I didnā€™t know that their flipping metal detectors go off over underwire bras. Of course, a lot of that is because Iā€™m so used to just walking through security gates, hearing them go off and getting waved through because Iā€™m pushing the magic hand truck. Seriously, the only easier way to get through security at the Prescott court house would to be delivering pizza. So, my husband and I are almost home. Husband, home, gawd, I love saying those words. Iā€™m going to allow myself to indulge for a month and then Iā€™ll try to taper off. So, did anyone miss me? Did anyone notice that I was gone? Lie and make me feel good, please!!! Hawaii was wonderful, honeymoon was wonderful, my new husband is wonderful and I love being married to him. The feral cat problem in Hawaii is overwhelming. Everywhere we went, I saw intact males and lots of kittens, which means the at the females are intact as well. So lots of hungry cats, birds that donā€™t know to be careful of cats and kittens. OMG, the kittens ā˜¹ ---
