Well, it wasn’t by choice, but he took them knowing that he was taking them. We don’t need to talk about that. There was the priceless moment when the best man opened the wrong door to see me halfway dressed and my attendants all fluttered around him and pecked him like birds. Bill carefully hand fed me cake, and the cake fell apart and dropped on my feet. I laughed and used a fork to feed him. People took their beer bottles home. I honestly didn’t expect anyone to drink that stuff, it was just an option at the bar, but we ran out of home brewed beer and nobody left the bottles. Other than that, every one got enough to eat and drink. And, now I understand that the fire has been contained. This is good for a lot of people, but I really do wish that our insured house would just burn down or something. We can’t sell it and we can’t give it away. Its a nice place, but the area is so bad. ---

It really needs to stop raining. There are landslides all over WNC and the cricks done ris’. I am now currently taking bets on when the next huge landslide that blocks access between NC and Tennessee on I-40 occurs. I know this will happen because it won’t stop raining. Seriously. My psycho ex is being himself. He won’t leave me alone, he keeps texting me being mean even though I ignore him. He used to be nice sometimes but now he’s just a complete asshole all the time (well, he asks to take me out which isn’t nice under the circumstances but he thinks it is, and when I won’t, he immediately attacks. This happens over and over), because I used to get upset and cry and now I’m not and he’s determined to make me, so he can see that I still care, and so we can make up after. He’s at the point of saying the most ridiculous shit. Just stabs in the dark on the off-chance it might offend me or hurt my feelings. Like the cyst I recently had on my tailbone, he’s trying to act like it’s an STD. That doesn’t even make sense. Plus we never used condoms so obviously he doesn’t really think I’m a dirty ho. Then he asked how many abortions I’ve had, not a real question, just implying it’s probably a lot (he more-or-less knows I never have). These things are out of absolutely nowhere, he has no reason to think I’m seeing someone else or anything. And then stuff about me being “uneducated” even though I have the exact same education level as him, a B.A. I tried to block him but it didn’t work. I should just not even read it but that’s pretty much impossible when it’s right there. I need to know if he starts threatening me again anyway. I’m so tired of this. Even though I don’t act upset to him, of course it upsets me. Even though what he’s saying is ridiculous bullshit, it’s not pleasant to read. This is why people badmouth people with borderline personality disorder, btw (there was just a thread about that and some people think we shouldn’t blame them for how they act…well I’m not a robot, I do have feelings). ---

I was really thinking about getting an order of protection a couple months ago when he threatened me. I filled out the paperwork and everything, but I’m worried it would just exacerbate things. I don’t know if he would even be capable of backing down from something like that. It would give him one more thing to feel like he has to get back at me for. Maybe I could file a police report so there would be a paper trail just in case he ever does something. I wouldn’t want him to know about it though. ---

We have a huge pine in our front yard and I am one who removes the bottom 3-4’ of branches every other year or so. My reasons are twofold - to prevent my nasty little neighbors from sitting under the tree (hiding from their mom and they smoke under there) and to make mowing easier. I’m allergic to the tree - I break out in a nasty rash where the needles scrape my skin. I will also admit that I think it looks nicer, too. It has been decided that TheKid will never invite a friend to the cabin again. For once, there wasn’t any strife between her and her friend, but her friend would have to have been emotionally present for any strife. She spent the entire time on her phone, or making comments about how crude we are. Excuse me? It’s a cabin, not the Ritz. Be happy we have running water, indoor plumbing, and electricity. Yes, it is in a small country town, so your city girl above-everyone attitude is not really welcomed. And to make matters worse, my mom’s paranoia and attitude were dialed up. She’s decided to sell the cabin. Why? Because when she’s gone, I won’t be able to handle it. Uh, if I can handle my own house, why do you think I couldn’t handle the cabin? It comes down to mowing the fucking lawn. I’m an invalid, ya know. So what if I mow my lawn every damn week? Well, you don’t come up here every week? BECAUSE WE’RE NOT ALLOWED UP HERE UNLESS YOU’RE HERE. So she and I argued. Then she and TheKid argued over the damn deck door. TheKid wanted the door open for some air overnight. Mom thought a gang of rapists wandering BFE would see the door ajar and attack. This, despite the fact that whenever anyone else sleeps up there, the door can be left open and the fact that the stairwell to the deck is completely closed off. TheKid and I made a deal that we would not alienate Mom due to her mental issues - Mom has alienated every other member of the family. But good gawd does she make it difficult sometimes.
