I say this with compassion, but I think that you’d be happier if you just walked away altogether. Clearly this person has no boundaries, and finds your love and labour useful, to the point where he will give you _some_ rewards (money, affection, whatever). Equally clearly, though, there’s some manipulation and abusive behaviour and a real lack of boundaries and the respect you so clearly deserve. My suggestion, for all it’s worth, is to start finding social opportunities and income away from this person and everyone he knows, because I think ultimately your choices are (1) some version of this forever or (2) leaving this circle of friends / family. It’s a tough choice, but can be done gradually, and the longer you put it off, the harder it is. ---

I’m 52, and I’ve had a lot more trouble with acne in my 40s and 50s than I ever did in my teens. Masks can add to that. ---

Fucking neighbor says this same shit over and over to his adorable little puppy. And it’s the same redundant commands he said ineffectually to his last three dogs. Come here! Come here now! C’mere! Doggie! Doggie! I’m talking to you! You come when I call you! Don’t you listen! What’s wrong with you! Come here! COME!! Come heeeere! Come! Come! Here! Now! Godammit!!!I SAID COME HERE!!! Over and over again it nauseated me. Dog just stares at him while he yells at it with the door open. None of them had a clue what he meant! Never changes his tone doesn’t whistle for her, barely praises her. He uses no leash, no treats, no positive reinforcement. The poor little girl rottie is gonna be goaded into a crazy assed out of control large dog just like his last three. I fucking hate him. ---

Whatever combination of work stresses that caused my mail carrier to commit suicide over the weekend. He was a good guy who Iiked his route and had a baby on the way with his fiancé. Everyone in the neighborhood liked George. He was a good and friendly guy. If it was his boss, who among other things allegedly didn’t allow him to take an easier route even though he was suffering a very painful wrist injury, then that person can go fuck themselves. I hope they get stung in the eyes by wasps. ---

Thanks. My surviving niece seems to have beaten cancer. But, she is moving from Florida (where my Mom, sister and siste in law all live) to Minesota. This displeases me. It was convenient having them all in one spot for visits. ---

I’ve noticed a new trend in websites and their “let us sell your info PLEASE CONSENT TO ALL THE COOKIES” nagging. Usually there’s a button of some sort where you click it and opt out. I’ve noticed now, at least 3 different websites, where it says “you can opt out any time”, but there is NO BUTTON TO DO SO. Only the “Accept everything” button. ARGH. ---

They never said they would make it easy on you. You have to go into the security/cookie settings on your browser and delete the cookies for that site so it has to ask you again. ---
