Bolding mine. My food allergies mean that several popular vegan ingredients are off limits. Cashew-based vegan cheese, I’m looking at you. Walnuts, eggplant, various members of the squash family, you’re getting the stink-eye as well. :mad: I went to a vegan street fair a while back, and while all of the booths had labels indicating if the food had gluten or nuts, I had to ask about eggplant or squashes. Got some weird looks - it’s not a common allergy. I still got plenty of yummy food to eat, but I had to be on my guard in a different way than in my regular non-vegan life. ---

Speaking of the yard, I was just out there harvesting cucumbers. Also, I now have one zucchini that seems to be thriving. Yay! Except that I seem to be horribly allergic to one of the varieties of cucumber vines that’s growing out there – my arm is covered in nasty, itchy welts all of a sudden. D: ---

Thanks for the pass, but I don’t think I deserve one. I overruled someone who feeds groups of people for a living. She told me that the mushroom burgers would be very popular and I didn’t believe her. Why the heck would someone pay a professional for their advice and not follow it? Because they are an idiot, that’s why! For the record, I shared one with a friend. I thought that the grilled mushroom was great, but also thought that the ersatz sourdough was pretty lame. The only reason I own 3 pair is because they are also the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on my feet. Skeetchers also makes high arch sandals and dress shoes. Excuse me, Trash Family. I am trying to enjoy one last beer at the TGI Fridays bar. Why do you insist on having your 5 loud kids sit right by the bar? SURELY there’s plenty of tables open all over the place. I don’t need to hear some toddler screaming I my ear and your idiot 5 year old jumping on the bar seat next to me staring at me while I’m trying to relax after a long day at work. A bar is an ADULT area; the restaurant area is for those who chose to have children. BTW did I mention it’s 10:13 PM??? What the hell are you bringing small children out to a bar this late anyway???
