Someone spare me from fellow mums at nursery school. I posted a reminder about an upcoming party on the FB page to be helpful, the head of PTA replied with conflicting info, then snarked at me when I asked when that had been announced (it wasn’t in the newsletters or emails, I’d checked. I remember staring at the noticeboard while waiting for doors to open today, and it wasn’t there either, so drop the attitude bitch. And if you knew, why hadn’t you volunteered it to the group before now?) Still, I only have this week and next before nursery breaks up for the summer. And then I’ll have fellow school mums[1] to deal with in August ☹ [1] Different crowd, thanks to catchment areas. ---

And apparently annoy the piss out of your neighbors. I hate loud pipes, for the record. They are just a way of being obnoxious. But I never despised them the way I do until now. My neighbor has a bike. It is a Harley and it is obnoxiously loud. But he doesn’t just drive it around, oh no. He sits in his driveway and revs it, for 20-30 minutes at a time. What is he doing? No one knows. I can’t see him, because there is a hedge and a fence between us, but I have seen his bike before. I don’t know why he revs it. And revs it. and revs it. Does he care about the time? Nope. 6:30 am? Time for revving! 8:15 pm? Time for revving? Going out at 10:30 pm? Must rev it first! Then gun it all the way out of the neighborhood! I just don’t get it. He is such a douchebag. ---

We used to live on a little two-block long street that had a bar on one end. Every goddamned night the jackanapes and their Harleys would sit there and rev their engines and then jam the throttle for 2.4 seconds before it was time to hit the brakes to stop at the end of the road. I would go glue firecrackers to his exhaust pipes. ---

So apparently the Foo Fighters have [cancelled the rest of their UK/Europe tour](http://foofighters.com/post/121698825102/foo-fighters-forced-to-cancel-remainder-of) after Dave Grohl broke his leg. I’ve been wanting to see them for years now and this was my first chance - I had tickets for this coming Saturday, hotel booked and everything. Now I don’t know when I’ll get the chance next. I can’t even be mad at him - sometimes, shit happens. I just hope he gets better soon. I’m still bummed about it though. :mad: ---

Just FYI, thyroid meds for cats are now available as a rub-on (you rub it on their ear and it’s absorbed through the skin) so no pilling is needed. However, some vets do not seem to know about this so be sure to either push a little or find a new vet. ---

A nearby sheriff was killed today in a wreck during a high speed chase. I had only a brief acquaintance with him, but I’m having horrible flashbacks - I met the sheriff when my own husband was injured in a car wreck and was still in the hospital. This sheriff also did a lot to help when another law enforcement friend had a complete mental breakdown - a situation that truly should have ended with the death of that friend instead ended with friend getting the help he needed. He was a good man, and the world is a slightly worse place without him. And two old friends have died in the past two days - one after a long battle with illness, one from an accidental shooting. If you have the procedure and board the cat (because of my allergies,) you can come recuperate at my house. I’m at the point where one more doesn’t really make a big difference! 😉 ---

Ask your vet about transdermal compounding for the hyperT meds. If the cat is otherwise healthy, radioactive iodine therapy is a good option.
