I went to high school with the entire Seau clan. They were all very nice people but had it in mind that there was a myopic idea that the be-all and end-all of their existence was FOOTBALL. ---

Hmmm…a felony charge for domestic violence, with injuries, followed by what appears to have been a suicide attempt? Wouldn’t have expected Seau to be involved in something like this… ---

If it were a real suicide attempt, he should have used a [Segway](http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/eu_britain_segway_death). Police are now saying he fell asleep at the wheel of his car and didn’t drive off the cliff on purpose. I was surprised to hear about this story, but I don’t think I expect anyone to get arrested for domestic battery and then drive his car off a cliff. ---

Maybe he really was tired from not sleeping during his brief incarceration but at first whiff it sure seemed like a suicide attempt to me. ---
