# Junkyard Wars, Full Metal Challenge, etc... successors?

I loved those shows… has anything stepped up to the plate to take their place? And why on earth isn’t there an **All Battlebots All The Time** channel on basic cable? Is this whole “engineering” genre of television dead?

I totally agree!  
Those shows were brilliant. The only way I get my fix now is being forced to watch Mythbusters, and hope they have the challenges between Jamie and Adam for constructing some object by different means… But I loved Junkyard Wars and BattleBots!  
This is an idea that needs to come back to TV!

FWIW, the Science Channel runs old Junkyard Wars episodes early Saturday & Sunday mornings. They also have a show, _Master Blasters_, that runs mid-week (re-runs on weekends); it’s a rocketry-oriented version of JW.

I’ve read online (probably at Slashdot) that Battlebots is scheduled to return to TV later this year, IIRC on Spike or G4.
