I’m surprised how many people also thought Muldoon was their favorite human in the series. And Sam Neill. ETA: And Pete Postlethwaite. The rest can get eaten, especially Jeff Goldblum and Bill Macy. ---

Doesn’t get much better than Robert “Clevah girl” Muldoon! (Though I confess to liking Roland Tembo a teeny tiny bit better.) Shoooooooooooooooooot her! I don’t think Chris Pratt’s going to join them in the legendary dino hunter hall of fame. ☹ ---

It looks fucking awesome so far. It’s like the Walking Dead, or Breaking Bad, or pretty much 90% of television and movies now. As soon as you give up hoping for something resembling reality, you can just enjoy the show… I mean, it’s science fiction, just heavy on the fiction, and really bad on the science. But it LOOKS awesome. ---

Yet another trailer has been [released](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJJrkyHas78). This movie could go either way, but it has the definite potential to be a “Crystal Skull” installment. It is hard to capture that lightning. ---

So they made a new dinosaur that appears to have all the best/worst/scariest qualities of T-rex, carnotaurus, deinonychus and maybe even spinosaurus? Oh, and they gave it useful forearms and superintelligence! What could go wrong, really? ---

Well, the problem is that “Crystal Skull” was an awful fourth installment of a series that consists of one absolute classic, a memorable-if-cheesy middle installment, and a very solid return-to-form with the third. The Jurassic Park “franchise” is one charming, memorable classic, and two forgettable jumbles of effect shots. ---

This movie opens in three days, yet there are still ZERO reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Yet another sign that this movie will be such a steaming pile, even Ellie Sattler wouldn’t touch it. ---

If it has ads running on teevee the weeks before the opening, they’ll line up and pay to see it. As long as it is big and loud it’ll make a fortune. Audiences don’t care whether it’s any good or not. ---
