I read recently that TMZ, as a primary source, claimed that the FBI said that the CPD’s statements on the incident were misstating the facts. Is anyone else indicating this, or is TMZ just pulling this out of their ass?

TMZ doesn’t pull things out of its ass despite being a gossip rag.

My bad. I heard it in my head as a joke, simple hyperbole. It was not my intention to strike the nerves it clearly struck, nor to imply what you clearly inferred, and you both have my apologies.

Not call you out, just Savage. Even if it was a joke, it’s a weird joke to imply that false police reports are super common in Chicago. I mean, of all the things good and bad that Chicago is known for, I wouldn’t say “People love to make false police reports” is one of them.

Please don’t judge Dan’s words by my poor paraphrase. I feel he was getting more at the storied history of corruption within the CPD, but again–my shitty words are not sufficient to judge his by.
