Jesus Christ. Where to begin? Firstly: Freak, thank you for coming clean about this. Seriously. Secondly, I respect your privacy and will not ask whatever it is this woman did to her daughter. However, if I understand correctly, she did NOT know you. Which leaves my opinion on the whole stalking bit mostly unchanged. But how credible was it that you asked for a quarter, whereas you had just gotten off the bus, dressed in work attire? I don’t get it. So, let’s all conclude that you know first hand that this woman is a Grade A Bitch. Why do you think scaring her (remember, you’re a stranger to her) is gonna help? You should have been with your friend to comfort her. Not scare her mother. But then, I don’t know all of it, so I won’t jump to any conclusions. No conclusions other than never to fully believe one of your stories again. I’m sorry Freak, but you blew your credibility here. ---

Ok Diane: I have bile of my own, thank you very much! And I know this is the pit, and I have contributed in kind, even in this thread. Sunshine and nice fuzzy feelings are not at the top of my list, but some people here have gone absolutely ape-shit over, well, IMHO, not very much. That’s all I was saying. ---

I also agree with Coldfire, except how he knows you’ve finally “come clean” about this, I have no idea. You lied to us all in the OP; you could be lying to us now. Remaining credibility = zilch. The irony is that you yourself recognized that your actions were indefensible. Why else would you try to clean them up before posting? She made a racist remark (so you scared her for it). But it turns out she didn’t. You had a pure motive in approaching her (returning her checkbook). But it turns out you didn’t. The whole thing was a coincidence, but it turns out it wasn’t. You couldn’t even be honest about what you _really_ did, because you _knew_ you’d be flamed for it, and rightly so. You deliberately set out to frighten and harass this woman, and then for some unknown reason, you tone in down and expect us to okay it – when it turns out you’re not even being honest about what happened. But at least you can remember with glee how funny you apparently still think it was. Congratulations. She should have maced your sorry, lying ass. ---

Let’s add to the list of things to learn, FF: 1 . Don’t use people. (ie the folks here) You pulled some stunt on “behalf” of your friend (so you say now}, felt guilty (so you say now) and posted here to see if other’s agreed or not (so you say now). And now admit you were collectively pulling our chains. what a guy. :rolleyes: 1. Get used to hearing “so you say now” and having your statements assumed to be “stories” with or without embellishments (aka lies) ignored or assumbed to be fiction. 2. Once again, you claim to have a higher moral ground than this woman you terrorized (and you’re getting more graphic about the terrorization), because “she did something so horrible that you cannot name it here”. and your loyalty to your friend prohibits telling it here \*\* OR SO YOU SAY NOW \*\*. well, you were disbelieved by many about the racism remark and you’ve admitted that you’ve lied and lied and lied (I’m sorry , embellished is your preferred word, right?).
