Morning all. 32F here this morning, but getting to the low 50’s this weekend. This is indoor soccer Sattiday, so I’ll be busy from 10am to nearly 5pm. It’s the only real exercise I get all week, and they need the help, but I will pay for it later today and tomorrow. I’ve got the same rain forecast as **swampy** and **FCM** for Sunday, guess the front will be considerable. **Sam** , in the spirit of Carnak the Magnificent, May a diseased yak drool in your Cheerios. ---

Showered, dressed, first load of laundry is nearly finished its wash cycle, and I ran the vacuum all over the dusty place. I need to attack the kitchen counters, install the smoke alarms, and put a new door sweep on the door to the garage. When I go downstairs to swap out the laundry load, I’ll grab the tools I need. Why am I so productive? What’s wrong with me??? I think I’ll pull out a poke roast for supper. ---

Happy Saturday! It’s cold, just miserably cold. The cat went out about an hour ago, I should probably check to see if he wants in. I have lots to do today but don’t feel like doing much of anything. I’m kind of grumpy, probably because I didn’t sleep well, again. ---

Just changed out the shower head in the guest bath for a hand-held model at daughter’s request. She didn’t like the old shower head, and with this one, bathing the dogs will be easier. Plus it has 5 settings…altho ours has multiple settings and I never change it. The “massage” setting isn’t so much like a massage as an annoying pounding of water. Which I guess is what it’s supposed to be. Dunno - I like your basic shower. Anyway, towels in the dryer, jeans in the washer, and now I’ll install the CO detector in the hallway. Who knew I was so handy?? 😃 ---

That’s some honey do list FCD left you with **Moooom**. I actually had a dream that I remember last night. I dreamed that I put a half gallon of bleach in the washer and made Swiss cheese out of the towels. 😛 Up, canneinating, breakfasted, puppy crate cleaned, towels washed and ready to go in the dryer. Next on the list is breakfast KP, then finish a project in the studio before a friend comes over with his beagle pup to set up my Roku and let the dogs have a play date. I’ll catch up with SIL after lunch for coffee. ---

He didn’t make the list - I just got tired of waiting for him to do it. 😃 CO detector and 2 smoke alarms are installed. I thought we had another smoke alarm in the stairwell - well, we will now! Plus one in **FCD** ’s shop. Then I’ll put the new sweep on the door. The old one is crap. ---

Took a nap. Did not improve my mood. I’ve got a little mini rant. Why do people think adding endings to words make them sound smart. Religiousity (hell, can’t even spell that one) instead of religion? Functionality instead of function? And what is all this shit about calling a shelf in your house ‘real estate’? NO! It’s a flipping shelf, not real estate. And now we don’t put things away or put them back where they belong, we ‘house’ them. WTF??? **Flytrap** , FAC is not so bright. Although I suppose I shouldn’t pick on him, he is smart about some things. Like catching mice and training me to give him treats 20 times a day. 3pm already, I need to get up and get stuff done. ---

I went semi-insane and with the help of OYKW disassembled the hyuuuuuuuuuuge computer desk, got it out to the garage (someone is goin’ to come and get it and reassemble it at his place), got the new smaller computer desk in place and re-hooked everything up. To my happy amazement, everything I disconnected, 'puter, DirectTV, and phone worked right the first time when I reconnected 'em all. GO ME! ---

Poke roast is rotissin’. Cabbage cooked with ham and onions will be one side, and N.O.T.s-n-onions will be the other. Boston cream pie for dessert. I didn’t get all of my chores done, but I did a lot. So yay! ---

Home from the gym, where I refereed six (count’em, six) indoor soccer games. I’m Thor and trying to stand up here in a bit will probably make me Thorer (sorry for inventing words there, **Sari** ). At least kept me out of trouble. **Swampy,** I’ve got a big, L-shaped table for computer stuff and other paperwork, I dread the day I’ll need to take it apart (if for no other reason, for carpet replacement). **FCM,** I’ve got a doorbell that needs installation (just sayin’) Now need to browse the kitchen and come up with some dinner. ---

'Beamer and Hubby are off to see a movie. I am looking at puppy pictures wistfully and plotting. My son’s chi-hoo-ah-hoo-ah, Pixel, is trying to play with our Swiss Mountain dog, which is pretty funny. There’s about 100lbs difference between them. It’s like watching a black bird attack a crow. The fun just ended, however. Kona just decided he’d had enough and called off the game. Poor Pixel. Other than that, I am sitting around. Talked to my sister earlier and got the family scoop. Monday I’m off to CA again for more haid medical stuff. So goes life. Happy Sattidy all. 🙂 ---

Ours was this semi-L that sat where Dad’s desk now lives. When we got it, we had to bring it up the stairs piece by piece and put it together in place. It was too good to trash and too heavy to move so to get it to the Thrift Shop so we could donate it, we had to break most of it down. We did pictures of each step (Lord know where the instructions got to) and put the parts for each step in numbered. No real reason for saying this other than your post reminded me of our recent adventure. PS – one of the two most-beloved-cousins is having a boy (they already have a girl) in July and are naming him after my Dad. I am happy beyond words over that. Darn ----- just missed again. ---

I’m freezing! It’s ridiculous - it’s nearly 70° in the house, and I’m in jeans and a sweatshirt. While I was reading, I had to put an afghan on my legs. My side of the bed is pre-heating so it’ll be warm when I go to bed. Supper was semi-meh. The poke didn’t rotiss long enough (I should have set it closer to the heat elements) so I had to nukelate it before we could eat it. The cabbage tasted off. But the N.O.T.s-n-onions were pretty good. I’m going to assume the crochet position - the afghan in progress should keep my legs warm. I didn’t clean the critters’ fountain today, but I’ll get it tomorrow. And I’ll get all our tax stuff together tomorrow. The rest of today is for chillage.
