It was supposed to be about driving to the gawd forsaken flatlands of Illinois and hearing a radio station bleeping out the song “Pumped Up Kicks”.
WHAT THE MOTHER FUCK!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
You can’t say [sing] “gun” or “bullet” even? Then why the fuck are you even playing the fucking song?
It’s like these stupid stations that play the edited version of [Crazy Bitch](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSzyKO_kW_s).

I’ve come to despise the use in popular culture of that word as a synomym for female. I’d really like to like that song but I change the station every time I hear the intro.
The local station bleeps a lot… but not ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ or bitch.

No.
I’m talking about the wussies who somehow took over this country. Stop trying to suggest I’m saying something I’m not.
“Gun” and “Bullet” are not offensive words, especially in a song that’s talking about a kid shooting someone.
The very idea of bleeping those words out is absurd.

I’m just surprised the OP found a station in Illinois that even played remotely “normal” music, if he was south of Chicago for sure. A group of us from the shelter took a two-day road trip to Springfield (home of the IL. Dept. of Agriculture) a few years ago, and as soon as we got out of the range of Chicago stations, it was nothing but talk and christian stations. Good times.
I pretty much can’t stand conventional radio any more. Thank og for cars that take aux inputs and a phone that streams whatever damn obnoxious music I want whenever I want!

The song is about a disturbed youth who either goes on a rampage or fantasizes about doing so and shoots up his peers because he doesn’t like the shoes they wear. Why play a song about this if you’re going to bleep out lyrics that are crucial to the whole point of the song?
