Back in the very early 80’s there was a country song that included a line about sittin’ on the backporch just a’swangin’. Can anybody remember the name of this song? I want to download for my 'pod. Thx! ---

John Anderson did it first. When the John Anderson version first came out, it was treated by many Country radio stations as more of a novelty song ( a la The Streak) than as a Country song. 1982 was the year, btw. ---

Oh, great. Now the flashbacks are starting again. :smack: I worked at the radio station in my home town (a country station) when that song came out. We got at least 2 requests an hour for “Swingin’” and at least 4 requests an hour for [sob]“Nobody” by Sylvia, whoever the hell Sylvia is. ---

We have a station here that does CCSN (Classic Country Saturday Night) and I just love it! One bad thing, tho: I have a hard time accepting songs that came out after I graduated high school as being classic or oldies. _:: le sigh ::_ ---
