…I had forgotten what an amazingly simple, yet fantastic and addictive game it was. Cannons! Sword fighting! Dancing! Sneaking! So much fun, and it cost me less than a cup of coffee: $2.50 on special.

Just needed to share. Now its back to the oceans!

Ha. I just found my copy of it in some boxes we’re sorting through. PC version of _Pirates! Live the Life_, that is. I played the original on a Commodore 64 back in the 80s, while fighting with my brothers for the right to play a single player game.
One of the best video games of all time, and yet is still capable of getting better. I’d like to see it as a MMO.

I loved Pirates! I really wish they would make a sequel of some type. I’ve played Port Royale, and I thought it was just OK. Any suggestions?

Fantastic game. I loved the original so much that I bought this the day it went on sale…then I picked up a Steam copy during one of the cup of coffee sales. If it wasn’t for the dancing (and travelling west to east), it would be the perfect game.
