I didn’t set a goal this year, which is good, because I’ve only read 42 so far due to having wasted way too much time on the computer. (I may finish a 43d before the end of the year.) Last year I read 121, the year before 183, and the year before that 209.

My goal was 50 books, but I’m not going to make it. I’m at 45.

It’s been a hard year.

Hm, this thread inspired me to attempt to tally the number of books I’ve copyedited or proofread this year. Somewhere around 70. (It’s not an exact science.) Mostly novels in the 300-page range; some textbooks and how-to/self-help books, a few cookbooks, and assorted other stuff.
