In what I am hoping stays a close match… lets have a little game… Your predictions; and if you’re wrong , your forfit (to be done at DubDope) shall be decided as such. The person with the closest score shall decide the forfits for all the rest of the participants. My prediction: Ireland 2 - 1 Holland C’mon Ireland, lets show those funny shoe wearing, cheese eating dyke-plugging moribund tram riders a thing or two!! ---

I have to say it is going to be a close match and I honestly can’t predict! I want Ireland to win naturally, but with the Cunningham/Keane etc. problems, I don’t know. On balance the Dutch have their problems too with injuries. I can’t wait to watch it! ---

If Holland start arguing amongst themselves: 1-0 to Ireland. If Holland don’t argue amongst themselves: 2-1 to Holland. ---

Well, 2-2 after Ireland took a 2-0 lead…guess nobody made the right prediction (I certainly didn’t, after cheating by making two predictions). So it’s a rollover SDMB jackpot for the return leg. What would be a suitable prize–perhaps a crate of Guinness and a crate of Oranjeboom? And let me profess sympathy to **ruadh** …she must have been all set to start dancing on cars after the Quinn goal… ---

I hereby nominate myself the winner for this leg as I predicted a draw, AND I predicted Holland to play poorly with Konterman on the pitch. 🙂 I’ll have to see the squads before making a prediction for the return leg. ---

Congrats, you Guinness slurpin’, bonnet dancin’, weird talkin’ Green Bastards 😃 Ireland was better the first half, Holland was better the second. The 2-0 was Kontermans fault: credit to ruadh 😉 Van Bronckhorst made a beauty… even if it WAS deflected! And the Irish attack that produced the 1-0 was a textbook example of how it’s done. Beautiful. I suppose the Irish would have been happy to draw against Holland beforehand, but it must be teriible to lose a 2-0 lead. Return Leg 😛 p.s. Konterman and Seedorf will sleep with the fishes in the Rotterdam harbour very soon, if it’s up to me. ---
