Just fucking obey the cops and the law.

[QUOTE=Hentor the Barbarian]
At least Shodan allows for the rare occasion that racism does occur in the US. That’s mighty white of him.

Of course, most of the time, black people claiming racism put themselves in a poor position with their failure to pay tickets, their drug sales and their firearms brandishing.

It’s so good we actually have so little racism going on in America, and almost none right here on the SDMB.

Yes, but we have your trolling and stupidity to make up for it.

Shodan

The guy who called the cops specified it was a kid, and speculated it wasn’t a real gun!

I’m not buying the cop felt threatened and had to shoot, inside of 2 seconds, of arriving.

My supposed trolling and stupidity versus your racism. Hmmm. I’m not sure those are equivalent wrongs.

I just skim these threads and don’t try to “keep score” on individual Dopers. The only memory that “Smapti” triggers is that some sensible Dopers think you’re stupid.

Now I know why.

People say lots of remarkably stupid things. Cite, cite, cite, cite, cite, cite.

Shodan

They’re not. Your trolling stupidity is real.

Shodan

White civilians, right? Evidently “protect and serve” doesn’t apply to a black child with a toy.

What a bunch of turds some of you Dopers turn out to be.

There’s nothing “supposed” about your trolling and stupidity.

Being mean to you and mocking you, and pointing out Shodan’s racism, is not trolling. I mean every word of it.

As for stupidity, I’m sure you and Shodan have a hard time comprehending what I say. We’ll just have to differ as to the source of that problem, I suppose.

I have to question the intelligence of anyone who truly thinks those cops felt threatened, when their actions suggest otherwise. If they thought an armed madman was staked outside the recreational center, it would make no sense for them to approach without any backup…let alone take their car off the road so as to be as close to the madman as possible.

If I were the guy who called the cops, I’d be feeling suicidal right now. He sat in the gazebo and watched this kid goofing off for a good couple of minutes. Why didn’t he have the sense to see that he wasn’t hurting anyone with this fake gun that he knew all along was fake? Being a nuisance like 12 year-olds often are is not an offense that warrants 911.

Not at all - as mentioned, it is quite clear to me (and, no doubt, to Steophan) that you are trolling. That’s not much of a compliment to either of us, as you are a rather obvious troll, but FWIW.

Shodan

I’ve already been given these links (or similar ones). Yes, there are kids who kill people. Younger than 12, even. 5 yo have been known to kill people.

And I’m going to give the same answer : some people slip in their shower and kill themselves this way. Do you refuse to take a shower because it’s way too dangerous? Do you dare driving a car, given the large number of car accidents, sometimes resulting in death?
For my part, I take showers and ride cars. Your mileage may vary.

Oh I’m sure you mean it. Your trolling is your continued posting that Wilson should be indicted or convicted even though you’ve been shown that there is no justification for either.

Not really, no. You know as well as we do that what you’re posting is mostly bullshit. That’s why you’re a pathetic fucking troll.

I’ve thought the same thing - that guy has to be feeling horrible. He had to know that the kid was just a kid and not just “probably a juvenile.” He must have felt he had to shade his report somehow in order to get the cops to respond to a relatively trivial matter, and didn’t likely envision that he was summoning a panicky and deadly beast.

If another driver is weaving across the road, speeding up and slowing down with no rhyme or reason, and getting dangerously close to you at high speed, do you just carry on driving as normal, or do you try to get away from him?

If the water in your shower is coming out at a scalding heat, do you adjust the temperature, or just carry on anyway as showers aren’t dangerous?

If a twelve year old is threatening you with a gun, do you ignore it as he’s just twelve, or do you defend yourself?

Shodan only skips showers when his fine-assed mullet is looking particularly amazing. Otherwise he’s as devoted to hygiene as anyone in the trailer park.

Although, I do think police should assume a gun is real unless it obviously isn’t.

.

Just curious, do you Sith have Sunday School?

Of course not.

Probably more like this -

*…But Bill, you got to shoot the last [redacted]! How am I going to get the gold stripe on my white hood if you keep hogging all the fun ones! No fair!

Now, Jim, we went over this. I am the senior on the team, so I get to shoot the young ones, and you the old ones. My aim is better.

But, to be fair, you’ve been real good for the last few months. Tell you what - let me bag this one, we will both pull a couple weeks of paid administrative leave while the Illuminati arrange the cover-up, then when we get back on duty we can go over to the Community Center and beat some old ladies. Now, you can’t say fairer than that.

[sighs]Oh, all right. But at least let me set fire to the cross at the welcome back party.*

Shodan

It’s more a homeschool, master and apprentice sort of thing.

So you shouldn’t fear confronting an armed 12 year old, even though he could kill you.

This doesn’t make a lot of sense. Police should treat a dangerous situation as if it were not dangerous, because different situations are also dangerous.

Do you really think the risks of showering are comparable to the risks of having someone grab for a gun when told to freeze?

Shodan
