# Just got a new knee. Your experiences?

My SiL had a knee replacement, and you can’t even tell because she did more than her due diligence in terms of rehab. The message is, don’t give into the temptation to slack off because of the pain.

The place I go is great. They’re very hands on and they all have magic fingers that know just where to hurt me, but also what to do to stretch out the tissue and make a lot of the pain go away. Going back this afternoon for more punishment, but unlike PT I had for my neck a few years ago these guys are there working with me the whole time. At that other place they’d give you some exercise to do and come back later, eventually, maybe.

Speaking of “new knee,” an old slang word for having sex on one’s lunch break is “noonie.” In those days, “I just got a new knee” would raise eyebrows.
