Sure they have. That Cheney is an actual hardline conservative with what passes for ideals actually makes her a threat. When you are trying to establish an autocratic regime run along fascist principles, the first thing you do is run out the idealists because you don’t want some kind of Bolshevik/Menshevik split in your ranks. Last year my wife and I planned a grand vacation, Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, Jackson Hole and a number of other places in Wyoming. We had to cancel because of Covid. We decided not to go till 2023. We have now cancelled any plans for Wyoming, I have no desire to ever set foot in that state. I’m having the same thoughts with Idaho and Montana too. I’ll find other places to spend my recreational dollars.

And yet they’re poised to control 100% of our federal legislature and 2/3 of our federal government next year, and at least half of the nation’s governorships and state legislatures. There’s nothing chaotic about them. They know what they’re doing.

A shame, really. Western Montana is a beautiful place, as are parts of WY. I’ve been all over both of them over the years. But Wyoming has become a nest of nasty people, all squawking about the government while sticking their hands out for federal tax dollars. Same for parts of MT. Hell, I don’t even care to venture east of the Cascades again in Oregon.
