Last night watched DVD of _Crash_ and thought it excellent in a time when so may flics are just special effects, no plot and two-dimensional characters. Humorous, sad, and quite a commentary on racial prejudice (by several races), and well rounded characters. Agree, or was I just in the proper mood for that time? ---

No, I agree. The plot is contrived, sometimes in the extreme, but it worked for me. ---

I wasn’t thrilled with it. I thought the plot was too contrived, and the characters WAY too racist to be believable. I just didn’t feel any sort of connection to the characters. ---

I think it was probably the best movie in the past five years. Just a great film. ---

I love it and all of my friends love it. It’s my second favorite movie of the year (Millions, if you’re interested, is my favorite). ---

It seemed like everything was so overemphasized that it was nothing more than a two hour caricature of America “the melting pot”. Ugh. Hated it.
