Since the show was already brought up, I am reminded of the episode where a guy had converted to Judaism and Seinfeld suspected he only did it to be able to tell Jewish jokes. So in retaliation Seinfeld started doing Dentist jokes and was promptly called an “Anti-dentite” for it. But seriously, a White mechanic being more worried about slurs to his profession than his race is not particularly impressive to me. Why don’t you ask one of the black mechanics on staff if he feels the same.
