Why do we need to test our posts here, when we now have the ability to preview our posts?
Would something show up on a test post that you normally could not see on a preview?

Good point - I just thought of this the other day when I changed my sig. There’s no need to preview a sig post (and I didn’t) - just look at a previous post you made with your old sig, and the new sig will show up in its place.

This forum predates the ability to preview; you’re right, though, it is no longer necessaru for that purpose. But if you scan the thread subjects in here, you’ll note that there are more than just test threads going on.

A lot of people who test different sigs want to see them together, for comparison.
They code directly on the post, with [sub]different\*\* fonts[/sub]\*\*
They don’t actually modify their sig in the profile until it looks just right.
