I also suspect Putin was one of the folks putting money on Trump in the betting markets last week (currently plummeting). Putin may also have been behind some of the crap polling that was showing Trump in the lead last week. The Republican Party is now pretty much The Putin Party. ---

This has got to get under Trump’s skin because – as much as he may play Floridian – he always has and continues to measure himself in terms of acceptance by New York institutions. All the effort puts into denouncing SNL and the New York Times just betrays how deeply he feels being spurned by these NYC outlets. ---

But he actually hosted the show during the 2016 election. I don’t think he is focused enough to even do a cameo now. Beat line of the skit was “I can open doors”. Nice little double meaning. I wish they hadn’t explained it. ---
