I’m reduced to hoping that the polls are wrong. And amusing myself by picturing Trump’s Second Inaugural Address being rehash of his rally greatest hits: Hannibal Lecter, sharks, Arnold Palmer’s dick, and picturing the reaction of the commentariat. Then we don’t see him again until he inevitably strokes out and … Welcome President Vance. ---

538 just gave Trump the edge (for the first time since Biden dropped out). Hence my depressed state. ---

It’s been a coin flip pretty much the entire time. 52% chance for Trump is essentially no different than 52% chance for Harris, or even 60% chance for Harris. It’s been hovering around 50/50 since Harris took over. If the polls are mostly correct, it’s a very close race. But they may not be correct. ---

So former Fox News host Geraldo Rivera has endorsed Harris. For some reason, this makes me feel less hopeful for a Harris victory. ---

The polls are saying that we are somewhere in between tied and Kamala up nearly ten points. At this point that sounds fairly useless. ---
