I’m more annoyed at West’s poor use of the English language. I’m also irritated at all the people asking who Beck is. Awards shows are stupid and pointless anyway, but it’s the principle of the thing. At least Beck writes songs and plays instruments! ---

I’m not sure comparing Kanye to other rappers is the best way to asses his talent or longevity. In my experience people who stare into crystal balls trying to predict the succes of musicians based on their talent wind up with face culls of glass. I’d never have imagined in the 80s that Madonna would last nearly as long as she did and thought Cyndi Lauper was vastly more talented. Similarly, when they both started out, if you’d asked me who would last longer Chritina Aguialara or Brittany Spears I’d have picked Christina without a second thought. ---
