I wondered why Kanye West was trending lately; I already knew about his thing with Billie Eilish and being threatened by younger, successful white women. Kanye’s behavior reminds me of people I know who not only have personality traits that make them pretty unpleasant people BUT also significant mental illness. Bad combo. ---

With Kanye you always have to ask yourself whether any given example of out ragious behavior is because he is a mentally ill narcissist with poor impulse control, or whether he just realizes that behaving like a mentally ill narcissist with poor impulse control gets him media attention, and finally whether it makes a difference. In general I think the answer to the last question is no, but when it comes to committing serious crimes such as those suggested in the OP if its mostly an act he will likely toe the edge but stay clear of something truly catastrophic. If not, then … In any case I agree, restraining seems in order. ---

I remember one douchebag on the Jeopardy college tournament years ago who was into fashion design (NOT why he was a douchebag) and Kanye West was his muse. This was after the Taylor Swift thing, so Kanye was working on getting his own douchebag rep. The same douchebag told Alex that he left the tag attached to his college sweatshirt so he could return it to the bookstore after the tournament was over (cheap douchebag) and basically acted like a douche for as long as he was on. I decided anyone so beloved by a douchebag had to be a douchebag and a half, and Kanye West sure fit the bill. Now he’s a creepy, stalker douchebag. I hope Kim and her family will be safe. No one deserves that. ---

I endorse the concerns of the OP. Meanwhile, I noted that Kanye (who, in fact, has legally changed his name to Ye) refers to Pete Davidson as “Skeet” in his text messages to Kim. Can anybody explain that reference? Or is it just a pejorative moniker? (Am I ashamed at knowing this? Yeah, a little…) ---
