Uh oh. An ABC News poll says that 75% of Americans think that Rove should be fired (including, blessedly 71% of the Republicans surveyed), and only 25% think the White House has been cooperating with the investigation (47% of the Republicans surveyed). I wonder how the legal side will end up? Take heart, honest Republicans of integrity. It appears that it is okay to poke your heads out of hiding. Perhaps with a little work, you can send the “Party before Country” Republicans and their big swinging _tu quoques_ packing, to wait another three decades before they rise to power again. ---

A minor Highjack, if you please. The guy that Robert Earl received immunity from prosecution to rat out was our old friend Ollie North, late LTC, USMC, and now highly paid political, military and international analyst, media commentator and general blow-hard. Ol’ Ollie, you will remember, walked because of an over aggressive Congressional investigation and all sorts of “fruit of the poison tree” interrogations by various Congressional gas bags looking for their fifteen minutes of fame turned into an impermissible Fifth Amendment violation. Ludifisk is a late winter entertainment in the Scandinavian ghettos of The North Star State. It celebrates the starving time when the old guys had already eaten the dogs and cats and boiled up their shoes and had nothing left to eat but lye cured cod. Earlier in the season they engage in snowmobiling on supposedly frozen lakes. It is sort of a super chilled process of natural selection. This reduces the gene pool to the extent that there is room for former Texans like our old friend **elucidator**. In the next state to the south out winter sport is driving snowmobiles into barb-wire fences. That is not so certainly fatal as an unplanned dip in a freezing lake and it makes us tough – all the scar tissue, don’t you know. ---

Bush is intellectually lazy, in that once he gets an idea in his head, he is always convinced he is right (or that God ordered him to do it), and he will not pause to consider other views or look for other input, but Bush is quite shrewd and is very bright _tactically_. He may be blind to the fact that his path will take us over a cliff, but he will be very good at surveying the roads and plotting the path that will take us to the cliff’s edge in the fastest vehicle available. ---

Well, now, if that pesky little amendment were set aside, wouldn’t that mean that the Happy Horndog would _also_ be eligible to run again? GeeDub would be lucky if he carried Texas. Hell, he’s be lucky if he carried his _parents!_ ---
