Decades ago I was watching a live newscast interview with the late unlamented Philadelphia Mayor Frank Rizzo, and heard him say of a rival politician that _”my positions are 360 drgrees opposed to his”_. Yay, a [Saying of Chairman Frank](https://retroreport.org/uncategorized/philadelphias-divisive-mayor-rizzo-in-his-own-words/) sighting in the wild!! Not sure why so many dumb Republicans have such trouble grasping the basics of degree measure, unless they all failed geometry class. ---

Years ago I had a student in an academic review board who kept telling the board he was going to turn things around academically by “doing a 360.” After the fifth time he said this, the head of the board gently noted to him that if he did a “360,” he would be right back where he started. Of course, this student was struggling academically, and not working for the White House in a senior advisor position. ---
