Baghdad Blondie was definitely a True Believer, no doubt about that, but she must have hated the media for constantly pointing out that her boss was an ignorant bum lacking either class or intelligence and a habitual liar who was constantly contradicting himself. Hating the media has got to be stressful when your actual job is dealing with them every day. Normal press secretaries working for normal presidents mostly have to answer factual questions and try to put a positive spin on things. They don’t work for a deranged lunatic. ---

She also has a Master’s Degree in Political Management. She seems like another very likely pick to me. Sage Steele is a former TV anchor and sportscaster, campaigned for Trump in the last election, and is a prominent conservative media figure. But she’s a Black woman in her 50s, and I doubt Trump would be interested. Steven Cheung looks like Kim Jong Un cosplaying as Humpty Dumpty, so he doesn’t have the shallow traits that Trump looks for, but he’s a bootlicker who Trump trusts and he does not shy away from attacking people, so I could actually see Trump putting him in as press secretary to go after reporters that Trump doesn’t like. Tricia McLaughlin is a young (just a couple of years older than Anna Kelly) superficially attractive blonde woman with a lot of experience acting as a mouthpiece for Trump on TV and has served going all the way back to the previous administration, so she seems very likely. Scott Jennings is a CNN contributor and one of those people that was originally a Trump critic but turned into an ass-kisser (think Lindsay Graham). Trump tends to love people like that for some reason. Agreed. As so many have said, Trump has a tendency to run his admin as if it were a reality TV series, and Susie Wiles has something of a reputation as the producer/director _of_ that series. There does seem to be a tendency for Trump to ‘cast’ more than ‘staff’ high-level positions. It’s harder for me to imagine Cheung in the Press Secretary position than it would be to have him somewhere high up in DHS, like Homan or Bovino have been/are. ---
