[/QUOTE] bolding mine [nerdy engineer hat on]More specifically, they’re _contra-rotating_ rotors as they share the same axis. _Counter-rotating_ generally refers to multi-propeller driven aircraft like a Cessna T303, where they rotate in opposite directions, or the Chinook Helicopter. As an aside, these sort of rotors are often referred to just as coaxial, as it’s obvious they’re contrarotating.[/engineer hat off] Yes, I’m a pedant. ---
