I started using Avira by recommendations I found on this board and have been very happy with it for the past four years.

Avira has the best detection rates and that’s the most important aspect of protection.

Seriously, I appreciate your time in answering my question. It looks like MSSE will be my choice as well, however in doing some due diligence last night, I came across the [Cnet page](http://download.cnet.com/Microsoft-Security-Essentials/3000-2239_4-10969260.html), which suggested that although MSSE is good, a less bloated product called **Panda Cloud Antivirus Free Edition 1.3** is the safer bet.

I have never heard of this, but when I see Cloud in the product name, I assume there are some shared items sitting on a server somewhere. Am I wrong? And has anyone else come across or used the Panda Antivirus 1.3 product?

Thanks
