There are hundreds of local news shows across the country. The vast majority are run and hosted by competent professionals. This is not their thread. No, this is for the brave men and women who are out there [fucking chickens](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5H2Z-IHiTI&feature=related) everyday so the rest of us can live in a free country. I say good for you Mr. Newsanchor. Keep fucking that chicken, Ernie, keep fucking that chicken. You have to love his co-host’s expression in that clip. Something similar actually gained a bit of currency among my friends in college. It wasn’t used on parting, but to indicate who had primary responsibility for whatever it was we were doing. It typically came up when one of us was helping another with a project, and was asked something about the matter at hand. “You’re the one fucking this chicken. I’m just holding the wings.” ---

I’ve never heard an official explanation, but I can’t imagine it would be anyone’s fault other than her own. She knew it was live; she was announcing the upcoming stories. They might have cut to the wrong promo shot, which is possibly why she said what she said, but it would still be her fault. As an aside, I used to have her quote set on my computer to play as a replacement for the Ding! sound that PCs make when you do something you’re not supposed to do. Nothing like Sue Simmons wanting to know what the fuck you’re doing when you accidentally click somewhere you shouldn’t be… ---
