I am the proud owner of a kegerator. Saturday morning I went down and got a frosty keg and hooked it up. Although the keg is already kicked, I noticed that I have twice as many women in my house everyday now. 😃 A tear of joy runs down my cheek everytime I pull that tap. My life is complete and I am happy. ---

World Eater, I hereby order you to move westward (at least 715 miles), young man. Kegarators are indeed the way God intended college to be lived. And if you aren’t in college, I salute you. You are truly a man among men (and now apparently a man among the ladies). ---

Much like the Budweiser commercials I wish to salute a great American. God Bless you Mr. Kegerator Salesman. Thanks to your ingenious CO2 system our beer never gets skunky. We no longer keep our trashcans full of our portly metal friend. No longer do we have to buy frozen water at 1.29 /8 lbs. Yeah between me and my friends I was hauling a trashbag a day of beercans. I can practically see the can collectors rioting in the streets from my window. ---

Tee hee. We have something similar in our basement. My homebrewing husband drilled holes in the front of a standard refrigerator (frosty mugs in the freezer above!) and added taps because he was tired of bottling the stuff. ---

Sorry to bring this back up, but I just noticed World Eater’s question about kegging homebrew. What you’ll need to research are Cornelius kegs. They are used for soda syrup and are being phased out in favor of the ‘bag in a box’, so they are relatively inexpensive. You can buy a complete kit for kegging homebrew for around $120-140, including keg, regulator, hoses, CO2 tank and quick disconnects. Beware, though, that homebrewing, especially with a kegging sysytem, can get really addicting. 😉
