Appareantly Grammar is in negotiations to replace Lane as Leo in The Producers. Talk about a stunt casting coup! Now if only they can get David Hyde Pierce for Max! I would pay to see “the brothers Crane” on stage.

He’s perfect for Max, though I’d love to see the role of Max played just once by Gene Wilder (he’s too old for Leo now, but Max has been around a few more years). In other news, Broderick and Lane have signed to do the [film version](http://www.reuters.co.uk/newsPackageArticle.jhtml?type=entertainmentNews&storyID=434935&section=news) .
